Little Bill Gaffney was playing in the hallway outside his family's apartment in Brooklyn. He was with two of his friends. One which was older and one which was the same age as him. The older boy went inside for a few minutes and when he returned, the two little boys were gone. One of the boys were found on the roof saying that the boogeyman took Billy. Nobody knew what had happened to him until Fish was arrested and confessed to killing young Billy. After he confessed to killing this young boy, he wrote a letter to his attorney explaining, in descriptive details, what he did to him.
